A bit of history In 1715, the Russian Tsar Peter I first visited the city of Haapsalu by sea, together with Admiral General Apraksin. He stayed at the clerk’s office of Enkin. This wooden burgher house was built at the end of the 17th century and has been preserved to this day. The owner himself, a simple and business man, liked Peter so much that he appointed him the first Russian city mayor in Haapsalu.
